Kalimpong Town
Morgan House
One of Kalimpong’s oldest colonial bungalows, built during the British era, now serves as a charming hotel managed by the West Bengal Tourism Development Corporation. It stands as a beautiful example of colonial architecture and offers a glimpse into Kalimpong’s rich heritage.
Industrial Park
A public park situated in the heart of the town just a few meters from the Durpin Monastery. It is a lovely landscaped area with recreational lawns. Visitors can spend their evenings in the Industrial Park, which serves as a peaceful retreat and also houses colorful performances, multiple play spaces for children, and most importantly it houses Gingko Biloba – a living fossil.
Gauripur House
Situated approximately 2 kilometers from Kalimpong town towards Durpin Hill, this historic home was built in 1930 for the Maharaja of Cooch Behar. It later became famous as the residence of the legendary poet Rabindranath Tagore during his stay in Kalimpong in 1938. The house reflects a blend of architectural elegance and cultural significance.
