Overview
Mongpong is a small town on the banks of the Teesta River, at the foothills of the Kalimpong hills. The town is known for its scenic riverside location, the historic Coronation Bridge, and as a gateway to the Kalimpong hills from the plains.
River Activities
The Teesta River at Mongpong is excellent for fishing, and the riverside is a popular picnic spot. The Coronation Bridge, built during the British era, is a landmark worth visiting. The town is also a starting point for river rafting expeditions on the Teesta.
