Overview

Pedong is a historic town in the Kalimpong subdivision, situated at the confluence of ancient trade routes between India, Bhutan, and Tibet. The town has a rich colonial history and is home to several old churches, monasteries, and heritage buildings that reflect its multicultural past.

The Rechila Monastery, one of the oldest in the region, is a major attraction. The old British-era bungalows and the Pedong Church add to the heritage character of the town.
